For this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, we wanted to catch up with some of our current apprentices.
Charlie has been with BJF Group for a month on a Business Administration Apprenticeship having previously been employed by us on a temporary basis in our procurement department.
Here’s what she had to say about her Apprenticeship so far:
-What have you been up to since starting your apprenticeship?
Since starting my Business Administration apprenticeship within the Procurement team at BJF Group I have been raising orders, helping with purchasing and supply chain, and managing reception calls.
-What new things have you done/learnt since starting your apprenticeship?
Along with the general duties associated with business administration, I have learnt to use new software packages such as My Compliance and Sage.
-What has been your proudest moment so far?
My proudest moment so far was being trusted to procure everything needed for the site set up of a major Construction project including posters, safety equipment, uniforms and stationary.
-What does your next year at BJF Group have in store for you?
During my next year at BJF Group I will continue to develop my knowledge and carry on with my assigned jobs and course work for my end of year assessment. My course will finish within the next year and I will have a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification.
-What about your future longer term?
I would like to complete my apprenticeship and then go on to do my CIPS qualification to expand my procurement-specific knowledge and skills.
