As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 we caught up with electrical apprentice Ethan to find out how he’s been getting on since he started with us last year.
Since starting my apprenticeship I have been working on two different sites, a major refurbishment project at Wellington Barracks and an energy efficiency project at William Harvey Hospital where I have learnt the a lot of the basics of electrical work.
Since starting my apprenticeship I have learnt how to remove and install new lighting in an active environment, I have also learnt the basics of first and second fixing.
My proudest moment is when I wire something by myself start to end and turn it on to see it work.
Over my next year at BJF Group I’ll be gaining more experience, at different sites and learning more new things.
I want to get my 2391 testing and inspection qualification after my apprenticeship and progress my career further as an electrician.
If you are interested in an apprenticeship at BJF Group, we are currently looking for two electrical and one plumbing apprentice – contact Symone on 07443 265 308 to find out more.
