BJF Group’s Project Services division has recently completed a major office refurbishment for a significant government client based in Stoke who had to vacate their existing office and move into a new property.
We were handed a 665 m2 Landlord CAT A fit out and then had to undertake a CAT B fit out to create an inspiring modern space to maximise the productivity and wellbeing of employees.
The works involved completely transforming an open space by creating a server room, meeting rooms, private study rooms, breakout spaces and a tea point. We also undertook mechanical and electrical alterations to fit the new office layout.
Further to the building works, fire safety was high on the agenda. All rooms were constructed to 30 mins fire rating, including the installation of FD30 Fire Doors with matching ironmongery. Existing fire breaks within the ceiling and floor void had to be breached for the installation of additional Services (Electrical and Mechanical). These penetrations were sealed using the approved (with Landlord and Building Control) method of Fire Stopping – Fire Batt and Mastic.
The whole area was decorated in such a way as to be complimentary to the selected furniture and to be sympathetic to the client’s brand colour scheme.
Taking just 6 weeks, the works were completed on time and on budget and our client was very happy with the end result. They said:
“Many thanks to BJF and your team on completing the works to such a high standard”
