Megger Group Ltd, a global leader in electrical test and measurement, has appointed BJF Group’s Mechanical and Electrical Division to complete a new switchroom installation at their Head Office site in Dover. Megger Group is currently investing heavily in the infrastructure at the site which employs over 200 people.
The project, in partnership with Hawden MEP, is expected to take around 12 weeks and will see us turn an existing unused building into a new switchroom by installing modern switchgear and a standby generator. We will then migrate all of the supplies from the old switchroom to the new. By upgrading this key piece of electrical infrastructure the system will be safer, more flexible, easier to maintain and crucially present a lower risk of failure than the hardware currently in place.
During the project, the site will remain live and so we will need to ensure that we cause as little disruption to the client’s operations as possible. This will be achieved through the use of generators where necessary and by undertaking much of the work out of hours
