BJF Group’s Construction division has been awarded the £3m design and build of 17 new build apartments split over two separate blocks for PA Housing with Calfordseaden.
The properties will provide much needed affordable housing in the area through a shared ownership scheme primarily targeted at giving first time buyers the opportunity to get a foot on the property ladder. Located a stone’s throw from East Croydon Station the apartments will be ideally placed for those working in London.
Expected to take around 62 weeks, the project involves the demolition of an existing house on the site followed by the construction of 17 apartments. The blocks are made up of eight one bedroom flats to the rear block and nine flats to the front which will be a mixture of one, two- and three-bedroom flats. In addition, we will be completing associated landscaping works and building cycle stores. Furthermore, BJF Group will be installing renewable and green energy solutions such as PV panels and electric car charging points.
This is BJF Group’s first project with PA Housing and Calfordseaden and we are looking forward to working with them on the scheme.
