BJF Group has been awarded a series of projects to improve shower facilities within five prison establishments.
Amidst a busy period for the team, BJF Group’s Project Services Division is set to undertake a number of shower room refurbishment projects as part of a drive to improve decency standards in five prisons in the North of England.
The existing shower rooms and cubicles will be completely stripped out with each area undergoing a complete makeover. The shower facilities will then be reinstated with new flooring, doors, separating panels, lighting, ventilation and specialist anti-vandalism and anti-ligature shower units.
We were selected for this programme following an initial project last year whereby our team completed a similar refurbishment at a single site which set the standard for the roll out. Our client, a major tier 1 contractor, was very impressed with both the standard of work completed and our agility when faced with the numerous difficulties associated with secure environments.
