BJF Group’s Mechanical and Electrical division are delighted to have been awarded the M&E contract to fit out a new leisure centre in Hornchurch, East London being constructed by principle contractor Metnor Construction.
The project, which commenced earlier this year, is due for completion in late spring 2020 and will create a vibrant, modern facility providing a state-of-the-art leisure destination and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
Designed by GT3 Architects for principle contractor Metnor Construction the new leisure centre will replace the existing now outdated building built in 1956 which will be demolished as part of this project.
Building fabric and M&E services are being designed to meet the strictest Carbon Dioxide emission rates utilising combined heat and power generation, photovoltaic panels and mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems targeting a 20% reduction on notional target rates.
We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Metnor Construction and GT3 Architects, playing a major part in delivering this exciting development for the local community.
